About Raphael Holloway

Mr. Holloway is an accomplished leader with over 30 years of experience in the social service arena specializing in behavioral health, re-entry, homelessness, child welfare and public health sectors. He has a strong non-profit and business acumen and understands “how to create and manage organizational change(s) when change is hard”. Mr. Holloway is a proven professional with expertise in mobilizing communities, cultivating resources, and creating collaborations between multiple groups (private and public) with seemingly divergent objectives and differing priorities towards a common goal. Mr. Holloway serves on several local non-profit boards. Mr. Holloway is an alumnus of Leadership of Atlanta’s 50th Anniversary Class of 2020. In 2024, he completed the Harvard Business School\'s Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management (SPNM). In 2021, he received the TechBridge Bill Bolling Non-Profit Leadership Award, Atlanta Magazine’s The Heroes Who Inspire Doctors recognition and has been recognized by Atlanta Magazine as one of Atlanta’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. In addition, Mr. Holloway has been recognized for his leadership in 2023 and 2024 as part of the Titan 100 in Georgia. Mr. Holloway is a proud member of W.C. Thomas Lodge No. 112, PHA, Atlanta Kiwanis Club, and the Atlanta Chapter of 100 Black Men.    Provide vision, innovation, strategy, and values driven leadership for one of Atlanta\'s leading non-profits that facilitates evidence based and collaborative programming to end homelessness by serving men experiencing homelessness. The Gateway Center provides access to the City of Atlanta Continuum of Care along with programming that is coupled with 330 shelter beds for housing. Operating with a $3M, as CEO I provide fiscal, strategic and operational leadership to increase revenue, reduce indebtedness and improve operating results. Utilize non-profit business acumen; monitor, manage and provide guidance regarding the use of agency fiscal resources; and prepare and submit an annual agency budget to the Board of Directors for review and approval. Utilize analysis, insights, and a team approach to revamp internal procedures and controls; reorganize/reallocate staff; implement best practices; and develop performance monitoring systems that support Continuous Improvement. Direct processes for facilities improvements. Increase partnerships, revenue and resources to meet the organization’s mission. Develop a clear fund development plan that includes identifying, cultivating, and securing new city, state, and federal contracts and philanthropic, corporate and individual donors. Lead a private-public approach to addressing homelessness in Atlanta.
