ABOUT RANYA SHANNON
I am a graduate of American University with a BA in an Interdisciplinary Program for Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. My minor was International Relations with a focus on International Development. I spent a semester abroad in Nairobi, Kenya to supplement my studies. I am always pursuing opportunities focused on fighting institutional racism and discrimination through grassroots organizing and public policy. I am further interested in the intersections of inequality through race, gender, sexual orientation, and immigration status.
