ABOUT RANSIKA PERERA

As a software engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, I have a strong foundation in Java and Python and a keen interest in data science and machine learning. I graduated with honors in April 2023, earning a spot on the Dean\'s List for the final three years of my degree.I gained hands-on experience in software development during my co-op at Univeris Inc, a fintech company, where I worked on debugging and resolving issues within the application using Java, SQL, and API development. I also diversified my skill set by working on front-end and back-end development projects using Python, React, C, and various other frameworks/languages. My ultimate dream is to work in sports data science and machine learning, where I can combine my technical skills with my love for sports. I have completed multiple online courses and projects on these topics, such as Elements of AI: Building AI, and I am eager to learn more and apply my knowledge to real-world problems. I am a motivated learner, constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded professionals, share insights, and contribute to impactful projects.
