Responsible and taking care of Fire & Safety for all the Retail stores & DC at Bihar State- Conducting various types of Audits related to Fire & Safety i.e- Workplace Safety, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Food Safety, Pest Control Safety, Road / Transport Safety, etc- Ensuring proper functioning of Fixed firefighting systems like - Fire Sprinkler system, Fire Hydrant system & Hose reels- Ensuring the periodically functional testing and Live dump testing of Fixed firefighting system- Following the schedule for inspection and check sheet for Active and Passive fire protection system and maintaining the records of the same- Calculation Fire load of large stores and DC\'s to evaluate the Fire protection system requirements and adequacy- Monitoring and Compliance of Statutory Requirements pertaining to Fire & Safety liasoning with Relevant Authorities and working towards target zero Injury / Incidents- Preparing Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly/Quarterly Fire & Safety updates and sharing it as appropriate- Preparing HIRA & JSA for all the Routine / Non-Routine activities at retail stores / DC & conducting training for employees and contractors for the same- Conducting trainings periodically to increase the awareness and competency of employees during any emergency. Focusing more on Firefighting operation, Rescue operation, Salvage operations, First Aid, Accident/Incident reporting, Fire Extinguishing methods (with Demo session), Height work safety, Emergency response & Preparedness, BBS, etc- Organizing HSE Departmental, MRM, Safety Committee Meetings and preparing MOM- Emergency Planning and Conducting Mock Drills for different scenarios as per statutory requirements- Leading & being a part of team during incident and accident investigation for proper Root cause analysis- Ensuring availability of fire extinguishers at relevant locations with proper functioning- Organizing National Safety Week, Fire Service Week & other competitive events.
