In her current role as Director - AI at Microsoft, she leads the AI POD as a Global Black Belt team, envisioning to realising value with Generative AI through differentiated technical leadership and guidance to top strategic end customers across ASEAN, India and South Asia.Ranjani comes with close to 2 decades of expertise in building AI led Digital Product Platform capabilities, Applied Data Sciences, and Data Products in Enterprise Product companies like VMWare, Dell and Atlassian. In her last role, she headed Enterprise Analytics for CSS at Atlassian leading a global AI team collaborating with Heads of Product and Engineering to drive cost optimisation and proactive customer experience with AI. She has built and scaled global teams, leading a team of 100+ folks including Senior Managers, Data scientists and Product Leads across EMEA, US and India as a Site leader at VMWare for CX SaaS Transformation. Her team built out end customer facing AI Digital Experience capabilities including routing and omni-channel personalization working with a cross functional team. She also collaborated with the India Site MD to co-lead VMWare’s Startup Engagement at the site level.Extremely passionate about promoting women in analytics, she co-led the Women in Analytics and AI Pod for VMWare globally.She mentors Deep-Tech and Gen AI startups as part of Kerala Start-up Mission, Telangana AI and is a NASSCOM Deep-Tech Club Mentor. She is a TEDx and Keynote speaker and regularly speaks about AI at Industry panels. Ranjani is part of the AI makers 100, recognizing the Top 100 AI and Analytics leaders in India and is the recipient of several industry awards such as Rising Women in AI Leadership, IndiaAI 21 Women in AI, and Women in BigData. She writes about technology, books and being better on LinkedIn and is the LinkedIn Top Voice for Tech in 2023. She also hosted Season 1 of the podcast – Generative AI and I, where she interviews industry leaders and experts on how to stay ahead in this new machine generated new world.
