I enjoy fixing things. Whether they are systems, processes, projects or teams, I like to make things work. I apply that passion every day to help my company achieve IT success.As the IT leader in my organization, I direct a diverse IT group that provides end user support, maintains a global and diverse IT infrastructure, performs host and web development, and delivers key business reporting to our business users.I\'ve worn many hats in my career - technician, network engineer, ERP system implementer, trainer, digital marketer, project manager, e-commerce leader (B2B and B2C), technologist, IT team leader and IT group leader.I\'ve had the opportunity to lead and contribute on many different types of projects - system upgrades, technology refreshes, platform changes, company acquisitions (and resulting integrations), office relocations and more, And through it all, I have applied two simple things that I learned early on.(1) We have to provide excellent customer service to succeed - simply put, fix the problem AND fix the customer. The two go hand in hand and cannot be separated. It does not matter what the challenge or objective is. If we cannot do both at all level of the IT organization, we will not succeed.(2) We have to add value each and every day. As managers, we need to understand the business and make sure that our teams are directly linked to our business\' objectives for success.
