About Randy Mengel
Randy Mengel Randy has been with associated with aviation for more than 30 years. Starting in the U.S.A.F for 4 yrs and then moving into commercial aviation in 1990. Randy worked for Allegheny Airlines, beginning as an A&P Technician. In 1998, Randy joined Bombardier Aerospace, where he was assigned to a startup division in Chicago tasked with developing a turnkey solution to commercial airlines technical operations. In this capacity, Randy provided his knowledge surrounding line maintenance activities. In 2001, Randy assumed the role as Manager, Field Operations with Bombardier Regional Aircraft. In 2003, Randy transferred to Flexjet, the fractional jet ownership unit of Bombardier, assuming the role of Manager, Addison, Texas maintenance facility. In 2004, Randy was promoted to the position as Director, Dallas Service Center. He was responsible for all operations of the service center, including P&L, growth, and development. Through his leadership, the new Dallas Service Center was approved for expansion and constructed. In 2007 Randy has been tasked with developing a differentiating strategy for all the Service centers, growing the business outside of North America. In 2009, Randy was recruited to Northrop Grumman to oversee the AMSIF facility in Maryland, to lead the rapid growth in expansion of MRO; unfortunately the Navy contract was not renewed. Randy joined StandardAero to lead the AE 3007, AE1107, APU & Pratt & Whitney PW600 & CF34 LRU programs. This includes P&L growth and leadership. In 2022 Randy took on the new role of Chief Operating Officer at CTS Engines to lead the business introducing new product lines (GP7200, CF6, & increasing capacity and enterprise value. Randy’s educational background has been Embry Riddle, Harvard Business School. Randy also holds and FAA A&P certificate, FCC radio license.Specialties: Strategy, start-up operations, Leadership
