ABOUT RANDY FREKING
Randy Freking lives in Cincinnati with his wife, and they have four children. Mr. Freking is a frequent lecturer and his clients have secured several million dollar plus jury verdicts and thousands of important settlements. He also served as a mediator during his career as a Partner at Freking, Myers, & Reul, but more importantly participated in hundreds of mediations as an advocate and observed skilled mediators from around the country. Randy has also participated in multiple arbitrations as an advocate and likewise observed accomplished arbitrators. Randy is a Contributor to HOW ADR WORKS (2003), a publication of the American Bar Association devoted to alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”). As a mediator and arbitrator today, Mr. Freking utilizes the best practices of successful mediators and arbitrators that he has admired throughout his career. Randy takes a practical approach to assist parties in resolution of complex disputes. Randy is recognized in every edition of “Best Lawyers in America” since 1994, received “Super Lawyer” designations since its inception, was one of the top 10 vote recipients in Ohio for the designation of “Super Lawyer” many years since 2006, was recognized by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the most influential lawyers in Cincinnati in October, 2008, and has been recognized annually by Cincy Business Magazine as one of Cincinnati’s “Leading Lawyers”. Randy is also the author of books concerning employment law, as well as the Cincinnati Reds. He also is the host of two podcasts. For more information, click the My Passions link on this website. Mr. Freking serves as a private mediator and arbitrator to resolve civil disputes whether they are employment, commercial, or other types of disputes. Randy received his formal mediation training at the University of Pepperdine College of Law’s Strauss Institute in 2009. Mr. Freking is an Early Assessment Consultant to conduct an independent evaluation of a case to help avoid the long and expensive road of litigation. Randy provides services as Resolution Counsel, allowing him to assist one party achieve a settlement while allowing the party’s primary counsel to focus on trial preparation. In addition, Mr. Freking is available for consulting with and training of companies’ managers and supervisors to avoid employment litigation.
