Direct Philanthropy and Charitable Giving programs for Columbia Bank (formerly Umpqua Bank), one of the largest banks based in the West, including philanthropic strategy, grantmaking programs and implementation, and nonprofit partnerships throughout eight-state footprint.• As manager of the Columbia Bank Community Impact Fund, oversee governance, programs, operations, budget, application proposal review, grantmaking, and grant compliance and monitoring—distribute nearly $4 million annually; manage the executive-level board of directors and board meetings.• Drive recognition and exposure as internal and external \"face of the Impact Fund\" in relationships with important stakeholder groups, including employees, nonprofit community partners, philanthropic organizations, corporations, and media.• Upon merger of Umpqua and Columbia banks in March 2023, led efforts to create and manage new Impact Fund Board, Impact Fund Grants Committee, initiate philanthropic investments in new states, and increase charitable giving by 45% from previous year.• Led staff and Impact Fund in the review, decisioning, and on-boarding of Columbia Trust Company in managing the long-term investments. • Partner with the bank\'s Marketing Communications teams to promote the philanthropic investments and community partnerships of the bank and the Impact Fund: “telling the story” of our financial and volunteer resources to drive community impact.• In 2020, developed and executed a new corporate responsibility strategy aligned with the bank’s mission, values, and long-term objectives; provided leadership to design and build new Community Grants program structure, while revising Priority Impact Areas and launching new Grants Management System.• Stay abreast of regional and national best practices, and relevant laws/legislation, surrounding corporate philanthropy and social impact strategies and practices; represent the bank within the corporate philanthropy space and nonprofit industry.
