Responsible for strategic planning, leadership, training, and operational improvement for the largest marine wholesale distributor in the market. Oversees and coordinates operations for 13 buildings located in 11 states nationwide while servicing customers in all 50 states as well as internationally in the Middle East and Latin America. Collaborates across all business functions and multiple sister companies (Mercury, Attwood, Navico, and ASG) to ensure alignment of operations in customer service, finance, sales, purchasing, category management, and business development. Ensures proper process and policy adherence and development for all operations functions to include safety, receiving, shipping, transportation, quality, and inventory management. Key responsibilities include:• Mentoring, training, and developing direct reports to include 3 regional managers, 13 facility managers, transportation manager, inventory and quality manager, and operations process improvement manager.• Strategic analysis and planning for three, five, and ten-year outlooks and growth while collaborating with senior leaders of Land N Sea, Mercury, other sister companies, and Land N Sea departments for expansion and improvement opportunities.• Change Leadership efforts focused on process improvement across receiving, shipping, inventory control, and transportation. This includes identification and integration of technology solutions to help improve customer service, efficiency, quality, and costs.• Works with vendor, carrier, and customer operations leaders to ensure positive outcomes at every step of the distribution flow.• Analyzes best practices and implements policies, processes, and procedures to ensure optimal safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction is achieved.
