Co-authored design and implementation of Kubernetes Cluster API Control Plane provider, focusing on etcd monitoring and TCP proxying via the Kubernetes API server.* Designed updated etcd healthchecks for better reliability with the Kubernetes API Server (should be coming in Kubernetes 1.24!).* Designed a host attestation system for Kubernetes nodes that can work across multiple cloud providers for NIST SP 800-190 compliance.* Designed the multi-tenancy model and specification used by the AWS and Azure Kubernetes Cluster API Providers.* Designed a revamp of MCS SELinux support for ContainerD.* Represented the Kubernetes Cluster API project at meetups and conferences, including Kubecon, VMDays London, CNCF webinars, DevOps London and London Kubernetes Meetup.* Act as a mentor for staff both inside and outside VMware in open source, developing them into active project maintainers.* Evaluated new technologies for inclusion in VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, such as Tinkerbell and Karpenter.* Act as release lead for multiple releases of Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, working with stakeholders across internal customers, engineering, support and product management to ensure product quality.* Co-authored a security assessment of Kubernetes Cluster API, being the first subproject of Kubernetes to have a security audit, providing technical description to security assessors and performing threat modelling, prioritising big ticket items.* Producing educational material - code walkthroughs, public hacking sessions, and a white paper on securing Kubernetes.
