I am in charge of a in-house design unit section that includes two five member design squads who design highway improvement projects. I write design reports for highway projects. I am the project manager on the $9.20M retaining wall correction maintenance and inspection project and on $150 Van Wyck Expressway Deck Replacement Project. I am the project manager on the $15M Rockaway Safety Improvements Project. I prepare consultant scope of services, staff manning, estimates, I review of consultant submissions for reports, plans and estimates. I use asset management principles to select the highways for pavement projects as the co-chairman of the pavement management committee. The pavement on New York City Highways is now in a State of Good Repair. I am also the chairman of the retaining wall committee I am a member of the manage lane and local bottleneck committees. I am currently working on obtaining my Project Management Certification.
