   Responsible for technical and administrative oversight of the Process Engineering and Safety in Design efforts for mega-capital projects as well as providing guidance to and influencing leadership of the Process Teams across Technology Licensors, EPC firms, Subcontractors and Operations. Responsibilities include the following: • Develop strong overall knowledge of Syngas, Methanol, Hydrocracker, Isomerization, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture units, plus overall facility configuration including offsite unit requirements.• Stay current with emerging trends in process technologies and industry and market developments with specific emphasis on lowering Nacero’s carbon footprint.• Identify plant optimization opportunities ensuring Nacero evaluates latest and cost-effective technology options.• Review project execution to drive the optimal approach to lower cost while meeting project objectives from a process perspective.• Participate in selection of key Project agreements for vendors, technology Licensors, FEED and EPC Contractors.• Serve as primary interface with licensors, vendors, subcontractors and external EPC personnel.• Contribute to the development of Project schedules, gated work processes, risk registers and scope of services.• Design, influence and implement Integrated Project Delivery infrastructure with the use of Smart P & ID software.• Develop and maintain use of Process design guidelines and practices.• Oversee Nacero’s Management of Change program.• Implement Process Safety design concepts and documentation requirements based on knowledge of industry standards and regulations including OSHA, PSM and NFPA.• Coordinate facility design work related to risk studies, HAZOP/LOPA, fire protection and gas detection.• Provide documentation and develop calculations to support environmental permitting efforts.• Mentor, develop and coach process design engineers.
