Other duties may be assigned. • Participates on Project Teams, providing project engineering leadership under the general supervision of a Project Manager. • Responsible for designated project results. • Reports on status of engineering aspects of the project to the Project Manager. • Coordinates with Project Controls on the schedule and budget for appropriate elements of project. • Monitors contractor staffing per the execution plan, and design team performance. • Must familiarize with contract requirements enough to recognize deviations from performance expectations. • Establishes a cost-effective environment, exercising scope discipline, and efficiency in design production. • Is proactive in meeting challenges and deliver value. • Assesses risk and take action to mitigate risk. • Maintains communication on all aspects of the project. • Responsible for effective scope definition and change management. • Ensure a safe work environment and a safe design, per safety guidelines. • Participates in routine Project Control reviews. Assures that adequate Project Controls for the project are functioning. • Participates in development of Project Execution Plans for designated project. • Ensures that the Project Execution Plan is followed during the life of the project. • Interfaces with the Owner’s Team • Works toward ensuring customer satisfaction with project results. • Identifies, develops, and estimates scope changes to be proposed to Management and clients.
