I serve as an executive leader for project execution including cost, schedule and performance baseline management. Direct activities and oversee project support team to ensure successful project performance. • Oversee design, construction, direction, and goal attainment in collaboration with a project team for two simultaneous projects: Translational Research Capability (TRC) Project ($95 million Science Laboratories Infrastructure DOE order 413 Line-Item project for a ft.² facility) and Craft Resource Support Facility Project ($40 million Science Laboratories Infrastructure DOE order 413 Line Item project for a ft.² facility). • Convinced SLI to provide an additional $10 million in funding (from $30 million to $40 million) during the CRSF CD-1 review. • Presented status in Office of Project Assessment Critical Decision (CD 1 through 4) Independent Project Reviews and worked closely with DOE Federal Project Director. • Successfully navigated TRC project challenges by applying executive management perspective to overcome issues that eliminated need to re-baseline the project schedule, resulting in finishing on time/budget by- Performing early CD-3a demolition and fiber hub relocation to ready TRC site for building construction- Moving project forward during COVID shutdown by videoing the TRC multi-program design requirement using ORNL videographers to video researchers discussing lab needs and creating transcripts of videos to ensure no design requirements were overlooked- Keeping project well ahead of inflation and resolving staffing issues from “the Great Resignation.” - Worked as a TRC Earned Value Management System Control Account Manager (CAM). • Additionally oversee contracting procurement as Technical Project Officer, managing risk, preparing for Office of Project Assessment Independent Project Reviews, and interacting with ORNL business and operations, and DOE reps.
