My name is Randall Helms, I am a USA/UK national living in Berlin with German permanent residence (Niederlassungserlaubnis). I\'m a deeply experienced data leader who combines technical depth with business strategy and team building.Over 13+ years in data, I\'ve built high-performance teams and infrastructure that deliver measurable business impact. My approach: achieve outsized results with lean teams through smart automation, self-service platforms, and good processes.My career in data, in reverse chronological order- Head of Data, Analytics and AI at Snowplow Analytics, a leading custom data infrastructure vendor: I lead a small team that supports almost the whole company: Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and Customer Success. We are deeply embedded in both engineering and business functions. Key achievements include building an automated GTM Engine that helped drive strong revenue growth via sales funnel improvements We have also established modern data stack and self-service platform that feeds many business surfaces from the central Snowflake warehouse. We completed a full Redshift to Snowflake migration on time and on budget, while maintaining operations. Other projects include a full automation of financial revenue reporting, and the deployment of multiple ML/AI applications including churn prediction and LLM-based sales call analysis. That\'s just a small part of it- VP of Data at Penta, a Berlin-based neobank, where I scaled the data team from 2 to 14 people and oversaw a complete overhaul of data processes, delivered new insights to stakeholders across the company, drove an implementation of the Modern Data Stack (Snowplow, dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, Tableau) on AWS, and played a key role in helping Penta progress to a successful acquisition by Qonto- Head of Data & Analytics at Neugelb, a Commerzbank subsidiary, where I built out a full tracking and reporting infrastructure, hired a complete multi-skilled data team, and overseen a variety of software and machine learning development projects- Senior strategic analyst at Audible, working on long-term projects with the content team- Head of Data Analytics and Consumer Insights at Viewster AG, the Swiss Video-on-Demand startup, where I was responsible for completely overhauling the analytics systems (both Google Analytics and the data warehouse) as well as for extensive work with analysis, reporting and stakeholder management- Communities Manager at ITN Productions, where I was responsible for providing audience insights and analysis.
