I’ve worked in the financial industry for over twenty-five years and have spent the last twelve in data governance leadership roles. I’m passionate about data governance because I believe reliable, trusted data is the foundation of data-driven decision making, effective and ethical AI, and innovation. Focused on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the Chief Data Office and Business and Functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needsAccomplishments:• Data Governance Framework: created a data governance policy, principles, and procedures, with well-defined roles and responsibilities.• KPIs and KRIs: Established and tracked KPIs and KRIs for Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data catalog adoption, and data issue management.• Data Catalog implementation: selected and implemented data catalog, with capabilities to capture technical metadata, data lineage, and business glossary.
