ABOUT RANBIR KAPOOR

Having graduated as a professional musician, drummer & a student of business from the most prestigious music school in the world, Berklee College of music, I majored in Music Business/Management. During my time at Berklee, I produced and formed the Periphery Directed study & Nipsey Hussle Tribute ensemble which was a live musical & cinematic ode to the late historic artist - Nipsey Hussle. I was one of the very few south east asian students to have ever put together such ensembles. After graduating I went on to Intern for Scooter Braun\'s publishing company - Atlas Music Publishing, where I had the opportunity to pick out music from the Atlas catalog to sync into major properties like the NBA, NFL, Xbox, OTT platforms and international movies and also aided other verticals within the company such as administration and licensing. Parallel to working for Atlas Music, I also worked for Jeremiah \"Ice\" Younossi, 50 Cent\'s long time tour manager. I executive produced and ran a digital show called \"Ashbrook Live\" for our client Tom Ashbrook who is a world renowned and critically acclaimed American journalist & Radio boradcaster. In 2021 I joined Universal Music Group India as the Lead A&R for FoundOut Records and DefJam India which launched in early 2022. By late 2022, I transcended to Mass Appeal where I currently works as Senior A&R and Label Coordinator. Working on, coordinating & rolling out projects for artists such as KSHMR, Karan Aujla, AP Dhillon, Steel Banglez, Dabzee, Baby Jean and many other artists under the Mass Appeal Roster. I also supervise & help produce IP’s & shows online for Mass Appeal in India for our YouTube channel.
