I’m glad to share that I’m currently working as a Process Quality Control Engineer as Graduate Engineer Trainee in the Ductile Iron Pipe industry \' Electrotherm India Ltd. This role allows me to contribute to the core of manufacturing excellence by ensuring product quality at every stage of the process.Key Responsibilities:Process Monitoring & Control: Regular inspection and monitoring of each stage in the pipe casting, annealing, and coating processes to ensure adherence to standards.Quality Assurance: Implementation of quality plans in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and company SOPs to maintain product consistency and reliability.Testing & Analysis: Conducting tests like tensile strength, hardness, microstructure, hydrostatic pressure, and dimensional checks to validate product quality.Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining records of in-process quality checks, non-conformities, and corrective actions. Preparing daily and monthly QC reports.Root Cause Analysis: Investigating defects and suggesting process improvements using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone diagram.Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborating with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to improve process efficiency and reduce rework/rejection rates.Standard Compliance: Ensuring products comply with IS 8329, and other relevant standards.I’m continuously learning and striving to grow as a quality professional in the manufacturing industry.
