About Nirbhay Rana
As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), author, and seasoned fashion academic, I bring over 16 years of cross-disciplinary expertise at the intersection of design, sustainability, technology, and education. My mission is to reshape the future of fashion through purpose-driven, sustainable, and ethically-grounded practices — and to empower the next generation of design thinkers, educators, and leaders.Currently serving as Assistant Professor & Programme Coordinator at IILM University, I specialize in curriculum innovation, industry-academia collaborations, and mentorship. My academic journey is backed by a B.Tech in Computer Science, an MBA in Fashion Marketing & Management, and a PhD (ongoing) in Fashion Management — enabling me to bridge the creative and analytical, the artistic and the strategic.My research and publications span Scopus-indexed journals and leading international publishers (Emerald, Elsevier, IGI Global), covering themes such as circular fashion, ethical AI in design, fashion diplomacy, and cultural preservation.
