About Ranae Staley

Relief work has always been close to my heart. I’ve traveled to Japan, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, India, and Mexico, offering hope and help to those in need. My early career took me into banking and finance, followed by seven years as a marketing executive in the health and wellness industry—experiences that strengthened my leadership and business acumen. But my true calling has always been serving others. In 2010, my parents founded The Giving Plate, and I have been involved since day one. Today, I have the incredible privilege of leading Central Oregon’s largest food pantry, where we do far more than distribute food—we feed hope. At The Giving Plate, we believe that hunger should never come with shame. Food may be what we provide, but the heart of our work is about dignity, compassion, and hospitality. Every guest who walks through our doors—whether a child picking out food in our Kid’s Korner Market or a parent choosing groceries for their family—deserves to feel valued and empowered. As the need in our community grows, so does our commitment to reimagining food relief in a way that fosters hope and belonging. I’m honored to be part of this work, making a difference not just globally, but right here in my own backyard. Let’s connect and work together to fight food insecurity with compassion.
