Main Responsibilities for vessels assigned: • Treat Health, Safety and Environment as top priority. • Ensure vessels are operated in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with Class and Statutory and Company regulations. • Under supervision of the Vessel Manager provide day to day Technical and Operational support and guidance to assigned vessels. • Monitor vessel performance and ensure follow up action in conjunction with the supervising Vessel Manager. • Full familiarization with management of vessel budgets and budget creation with full accountability of assigned vessels. • Assist with planning and execution of scheduled & unscheduled dry-dockings and major repairs. • Full familiarization with the appraisal process and operating systems for Master & Chief Engineer performance reviews. Work with the Vessel Manager to set clear goals and expectations in line with Competence and Performance Management objectives. • Full familiarization with the Vetting process and systems for managing this. Work with Vessel Managers, Marine Assurance, and senior ship staff to ensure vessels are always prepared and ready for vetting inspections. Assist with timely and accurate closure of any vetting findings thus maintaining vessel vetting status. • Participate in interviews and assist in making recommendations regarding new-hires and promotions. • Act as point of contact for commercial and voyage coordination for assigned vessels under supervision of the Vessel Manager. • Conduct regular vessel visits to confirm condition and compliance with company’s Operating Standards and provide Senior Management with Vessel Condition reports under supervision of the Vessel Manager.
