ABOUT RAMYA NARAYANASAMY
I’m a Master’s student in Computer Science at UMass Amherst and currently a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Nokia, where I work on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for enterprise-scale applications. My work focuses on building production-grade RAG pipelines using FastAPI and Docker, integrating LLMs, multimodal (vision-language) models, hybrid retriever–reranker architectures, and knowledge graphs to improve factual grounding and long-context reasoning.I have a strong research interest in ML and LLM safety, particularly prompt injection, long-context failure modes, and agentic reliability. Through academic research projects, I’ve explored “lost in the middle” vulnerabilities, adversarial prompting, and evaluation strategies for safer LLM deployments.Previously, I spent 3+ years at Wells Fargo as a Software Engineer, building scalable backend systems, low-latency APIs, and CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical financial platforms, giving me a solid foundation in production systems and platform engineering.I’m actively looking for full-time Machine Learning Engineer roles, especially in LLMs, RAG, GenAI platforms, and ML safety, where I can combine strong engineering fundamentals with applied ML research to build reliable, real-world AI systems.Always happy to connect and discuss ML, GenAI, and system design.
