Responsible for the project life cycle, including requirement gathering, analysis, profiling, source to target mapping, support & enhancement for multiple projects. • As a Big Data Analyst, to collaborate ideas/ logics, identify model gaps/enhancements with architects, product owners and work closely with the team on sharing instruction to systemize the ideas. • Analyze business and technical system capabilities, identify alignments and gaps between end user requirements and system capabilities. • Create and document solution(s) of varying complexity to meet end user requirements, including documentation of systems specifications. • To work closely with product owners and consumers to gather requirements to design and frame respective logics to support data from different legacy data stores like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, Google cloud Platform, AWS etc. • Establish knowledge of domain data and data warehousing concepts in order to perform data analysis to facilitate the building of prototypes and requirements documents including familiarity of basic analytic tools such as SQL. • To engineer a data lake platform, built on a mixture of PayPal proprietary and open-source technologies like Hadoop, Spark, hive etc, on AWS and GCP, that enables PayPal to optimize key areas of business. • To device metrics and monitoring modules for data validation, quality checks supporting both batch and streaming workflows, to maintain data quality across platforms. • Design and work for the various projects as part of PayPal Data Lake Integration like Braintree, Swift, Honey and cloud migration. • Interaction with Clients, Sales teams to drive the logical front of the projects.
