What started as a fascination with computers grew into a clear purpose: building AI systems that create real, measurable impact in healthcare.I completed my PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Western University, where I worked on deep learning for medical imaging, with a focus on lung MRI segmentation and hyperpolarized gas MRI analysis. My research combined CNNs, Vision Transformers, and foundational models, always with an emphasis on robustness, data efficiency, and clinical relevance.I am now working full time at Banting AI, where I design and build production grade generative AI and retrieval augmented generation systems for clinical trial automation. My work spans document parsing, vector search and embeddings, multimodal AI, large language model orchestration, experiment tracking, and deployment. The goal is to turn complex, unstructured clinical documents into accurate, structured insights that support faster and better research decisions.What excites me most is seeing advanced models move from theory into practice. I care deeply about building systems that are reliable in real environments and genuinely useful to clinicians, researchers, and patients. I enjoy working with real constraints such as messy data, domain complexity, and performance trade offs, and designing solutions that hold up in production.At my core, I believe AI should not stay in the lab. It should be engineered thoughtfully, deployed responsibly, and used to make people’s work easier and outcomes better. I am here to build things that matter and to keep pushing what is possible in applied healthcare AI.
