I am a problem solver that genuinely enjoys bringing structure to chaos. It’s not that I have all the answers but through my background, struggles, and experiences I have developed the ability to slow things down, assess the situation, identify the objectives, establish priorities, and execute. As an Infantry officer, I learned strategy and planning, logistics and operations, tactics, command and execution. After two combat tours and nearly 10 years of service, I continued to serve in another capacity, as a humanitarian. I used those same skills to build risk programs and advise partners on security, operations, and logistics enabling the delivery of life-saving aid to people in emergent conflict-affected countries.Today I lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams developing bespoke risk models, methodologies, and software platforms to leverage endless streams of data enabling rapid and informed decision-making capabilities across tactical, operational, and strategic stakeholder groups.Critical Thinker & Lifelong Learner: For a problem solver, critical thinking and lifelong learning are imperative. I believe the obstacle is the way; go deep, learn something new, and solve the problem. My resume will show my commitment to lifelong learning academically, professionally, and personally. I have developed and successfully implemented numerous project/ program proposals and multi-million dollar budgets. I also enjoy policy and process development, technical writing, and developing training and learning materials.Risk Intelligence & Operations Leader: Risk intelligence and operations are my passion. Throughout my career, I\'ve operationalized the intelligence cycle and built technology, programs, and teams to drive operations. I believe that risk intelligence is a critical enabler, and while prudence in business is necessary, risk-taking is a condition for operational excellence and success writ large.
