About Ramreddy Tippana
Part of my current research focuses on how specific helicases interact with G-quadruplex forming sequences in oncogene promoters, and GQ repeats found in the ALS and FTD patients in vitro and in vivo by using various biochemical and biophysical methods. Working towards the development of highly processive enzymes (super helicases) for the nanopore sequencing and point care applications in the context of in-vitro diagnostics. Furthermore, we are in the process of generating helicases who\'s processivity can be modulated by the specific wavelength of light.
