ABOUT CHRISTINA RAMOS

Christina has amassed over two decades of experience in alternative education, health education, youth development, and special education. Passionate about fostering an equitable learning space, she focuses on enriching her curricula, drawing inspiration from her time at Cal State Sacramento where she learned from civil rights pioneers who worked with Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union.Christina earned her master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from CalPoly Humboldt. She also enhanced her education at Cal State Sacramento\'s School of Bilingual and Multicultural Education. Her professional background includes working with students with diverse needs, such as autism and ADHD.Her advocacy work is grounded in empowering marginalized voices, advocating for inclusive policies, and driving initiatives that dismantle structural barriers. And she has successfully led efforts that prioritize social justice and equitable access to resources, working in tandem with historically underrepresented communities, specifically in ward 8. Her exceptional program management and leadership has earned her recognition from the Washington Post.
