ABOUT RAMONA HOOD

Ramona Hood brings more than three decades of FedEx experience to her role as president and CEO of FedEx Custom Critical. She began her career with the organization in 1991 in an entry-level position and navigated single motherhood, higher education, and full-time work to construct a thoughtful career lattice. In doing so, Ramona obtained a number of executive leadership positions at FedEx Custom Critical and FedEx Supply Chain that provided her with a deep understanding of all aspects of the transportation world. Unafraid to grapple with the uncomfortable, Ramona is genuinely interested in seeking how to achieve meaningful, data-driven results to improve service, quality, and the work experience for customers, independent contractors and team members. She has developed culturally significant strategies for ongoing improvement while continuously driving the performance and strategic direction of the company. Ramona has been recognized for her excellence in thought leadership, social responsibility, and business acuity. As such, she has been asked to create value across various industries by advising several significant boards, including Brinker International, the Knight Foundation, Summa Health, and most recently, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland to a three-year term that began Jan. 1, 2024 and includes serving on the presidential search committee. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Walsh University and an Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management. Personal interests include fitness, contributing to the betterment of her hometown of Akron, travel – especially with her two daughters, and spoiling Brie, her beloved Labrador Retriever.
