Develop and manage ecological restoration services with a team of biologists, hydrologists and engineers. • Project Management - Direct budget responsibility for large size projects with a high level of complexity. Prepare scope and budget, manage projects for quality deliverables, schedule, and budget. • Business Development - establish and maintain client relations, track market opportunities, prepare and oversee proposals, and participate in interviews. • Staff Management - review staffing needs, help recruit and interview candidates, retain staff. Supervise 6 staff and evaluate performance. • Technical Expertise - Provide technical input and prepare documents in the field of restoration ecology, fisheries, monitoring and adaptive management, environmental documentation (CEQA documents), permitting and mitigation. o Senior role in most phases of restoration process, including site evaluation, goal setting, restoration planning and design, environmental documentation and permitting, and adaptive management and monitoring plans. o Understand science and policy relevant to California water supply, flood management, endangered species management, Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, San Francisco Bay Estuary. o Develop restoration plans and adaptive management plans for ecosystems in California. Facilitate science-based decision-making based on strong knowledge of stakeholder issues and environmental regulations. o Evaluate impacts and outcomes of water supply, flood management, and ecosystem restoration projects on natural resources and listed species including delta smelt, longfin smelt, Chinook salmon, steelhead, tidewater goby, desert pupfish, giant garter snake, and greater sandhill crane.
