I have worked in the legal field for 20+ years. I am currently Lead Employment Litigation/Department Secretary to the Labor and Employment Group of Weintraub Tobin. My work includes preparing and processing documents for filing with both state and federal courts at the superior court and appellate court levels and administrative agencies (DLSE, DFEH, EEOC, OAH, WCAB). I assist in organizing seminars for employment and HR professionals and client marketing events. In addition, I handle postings for the labor and employment blog. Weintraub Tobin attorneys advise employers in every aspect of traditional employment and labor law, ranging from preventative employment counseling to all types of employment-based disputes and litigation. Weintraub Tobin attorneys provide counseling on issues such as hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and layoffs, employment and severance contracts, covenants not to compete and employee handbooks. They assist with compliance regarding a variety of state and federal laws such as workers compensation, occupational safety and health, wage and hour, and anti-discrimination statutes such as Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), California\'s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In addition, Weintraub Tobin has an experienced group of attorney-investigators who conduct workplace investigations for private companies, for-profit companies, non-profit companies, cities, counties, state agencies, school districts, college districts and other special districts. They have investigated every employment issue imaginable, including: sexual harassment, gender discrimination and harassment, retaliation, age discrimination, failure to provide reasonable accommodation under the ADA and FEHA, etc.Specialties: Employment litigation, civil litigation.
