Ramkumar has over 16 years of experience within financial services across the domains of governance, risk, compliance and the associated technology systems within the financial service sector. He is Currently Partner in Grant Thornton Bharat LLP focusing on Financial Services sector in the Risk domain. • He has been associated with three of the leading Big 4 firms in the country before joining the firm. Ramkumar has led multiple large engagements in India, the Middle East, Africa and Europe in the areas of Insurance, Asset Management, Bank Treasury, Corporate Treasury, Credit Banking, Consumer Banking, Trade Finance and Security Services• He also has experience working with Indian regulators on various regulatory matters. He has also co-authored multiple thought leadership in the regulatory and governance domain for financial services. His last publication was on “India\'s Pension Landscape- a Study on Retirement Reality and Readiness”. In his previous organization he worked back with Indian Bankers Association (IBA) in the working group set up with various International, Private and Public sector banks in the transition from LIBOR (London Interbank offer rate) to the new proposed RFR (Risk-free rate). • He is a regular speaker at various external events and conferences and is a regular contributor in leading Financial Press on matters related to the Financial Services sector.• He is a self-motivated individual, able to work well both alone and in a team.    I am part of a core team responsible in setting up the Financial Services Risk business in Grant Thornton. My focus is to build the Risk business across Banking, Shadow banks (NBFC), Insurance companies, Capital Markets and Corporates with Corporate Treasury solutions. My current focus is to build the Insurance and allied business domestically, and also have a mandate to work with network firms in collaborating and increasing the Grant Thornton footprint across network geographies.
