Provided management and technical leadership for $59M PEPFAR-funded HIV/AIDS programming for Ukraine and worked with multi-stakeholder teams, local governments, civil society, Global Fund, CDC, HRSA, DoD/DHAPP, and UNAIDS staff, to further advance the complementarity of HIV/AIDS and TB programming in Ukraine and Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan).Key Accomplishments- I ensured that all PEPFAR-Ukraine program objectives were not only aligned with the Global Health Security Division (GHSD) but also responsive to the latest HIV/AIDS epidemiological data and Ukraine’s evolving landscape. I championed emerging GHSD programming priorities, such as (a) artificial intelligence and innovation,(b) pandemic preparedness, and (c) One Health initiatives- I provided strategic guidance to GHSD leadership and Department of State headquarters bureau staff on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. Moreover, I delivered technical support to devise impactful strategies that protect health, particularly for programs focused on preventing, detecting, and responding to pandemic threats.I had the privilege of leading management and technical efforts for a groundbreaking $59 million PEPFAR-funded HIV/AIDS program in Ukraine. Collaborating with multi-stakeholder teams, including local governments, civil society, Global Fund, CDC, HRSA, DoD/DHAPP, and UNAIDS staff, we united our strengths to enhance the integration of HIV/AIDS and TB programming across Ukraine and Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
