About Ramin Abhari

Spider-Man reminds us that with great power comes great responsibility. We chemical engineers are not superheroes, but we do have the knowledge and skills to tackle the challenges our world is facing. Whether it’s producing lower carbon intensity fuels or designing more sustainable manufacturing processes, we are called to be part of the solution. This is our moment. I bring over thirty years of experience in the chemical process industries, starting in petrochemicals and moving to renewables. My current work involves coming up with innovations that make biofuel production more efficient. These have resulted in new/improved processes and multiple new patent families for my company.Outside of work, I volunteer on the editorial panel of Loss Prevention Bulletin. I also write and draw. Some of these writings and artwork, including comic book short stories about process safety, may be found among my featured LinkedIn articles. And yes, the Spider-Man comics was an early artistic influence.
