I love digging into data and pulling out actionable insights. As an individual with an advanced academic background in Operations Research, Business and Economics, strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in data analysis I enjoy studying a business, finding data requirements, gathering data and processing it to extract information and knowledge. To that end I have not only completed several advanced courses in statistics, econometrics, and linear, nonlinear and stochastic optimization but also have completed data mining courses in computer science settings. In effect, I am applying my multidimensional knowledge from business and optimization to economics and engineering to reveal data requirements for a system and employing programming languages as Python, SQL and R, data mining and machine learning algorithms to pull out valuable information and actionable insights of a data set.My extensive experience as an analyst, team leader and project manager in business systems analysis and business process improvement in a diverse set of work environments including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and higher education systems generates a unique skill set when it is combined with my knowledge in data analysis.
