I have taken a sabbatical into a frontline clinical (healthcare delivery) role. Pharmacy, particularly in Quebec, continues to transform - broader in cognitive service provision, and deeper into clinical practice and patient care. Pharmacists are truly the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experts. Increasingly, they are given the tools, regulated scope, and incentives framework, to realize their great potential as clinicians. My current clinical practice responsibilities include patient clinical care and counselling, optimization of patient therapy, oversight of preparation and delivery of medicine to patients, and management of pharmacy operation.
