Aerospace enthusiast with Master degree from IITB | 3+ year of experience in structural design of satellite at Team Indus | Design engineer, 6+ year of experience at Airbus | Airbus Signatory Team Indus experience:I was responsible for the Structural design of a Satellite meant for Lunar Mission. Since, It is going to soft land on the moon\'s surface, Landing gear with shock absorption system is required. This was my first task, To design light weight and energy absorbing soft- landing system for the Lunar Mission. Design starts with hand calculation and hand Sketch that creates a component, Various component combine to give rise to an assembly and Different assemblies combined together that act as a system. This system was called Landing Gear. Parts were made from metallic and composite materials and contains ball bearing and spherical joints. After hand calculation and sketches, 3D model was created using Solidworks/Catia, and Analysis of the structure was performed. HyperMesh was used as Meshing Tool and Analysis was performed in Nastran/Optistruct. Prepared fabrication drawing in Autocad and parts were manufactured and assembled.Analysis was later verified with the Drop test.I was also responsible for the design various other components of the satellite like Fixture, Bracket, Dual gimble antenna (DGA) etc.Current Airbus Experience:Currently I am TD signatories at Airbus providing and approving repair definition of fuselage metallic and composite structure.
