About Ramesh Namani
Senior Platform Engineer (7.5 YOE) dedicated to treating Infrastructure as a Product. My focus is simple: Reduce cognitive load for developers so they can ship code with confidence.Currently at Experian, I am driving the shift from \"Ticket-Ops\" to Self-Service. I develop Event-Driven Internal Developer Platform (IDP) workflows that empower teams to operate their own infrastructure with speed and governance, freeing the Platform team from operational toil.• Automated Infrastructure Lifecycle (On-Prem): Engineered an event-driven self-service framework enabling developers to autonomously retire on-premise servers. Transformed a high-touch manual process into an automated workflow, critical for accelerating data center exits and ensuring secure resource reclamation without Ops intervention.• Hybrid GitOps Log Onboarding & Automated Diagnostics: Architected a unified self-service framework for hybrid log ingestion. The design routes cloud sources (S3, Kinesis) through Cribl Stream as an integration proxy to bridge native compatibility gaps, while managing direct ingestion for on-premise fleets. I integrated the GitOps provisioning pipeline with a custom Automated RCA engine that triggers immediately upon configuration commit. If post-deployment validation fails (e.g, missing file paths), the system performs instant root cause analysis, creating a closed-loop workflow that guarantees successful ingestion and observability coverage.• EKS Fleet Standardization (GitOps): Collaborated on the enterprise-wide EKS bootstrapping pattern. Integrated mandatory observability and governance controls directly into the GitOps pipeline, ensuring 100% compliance for all new and existing clusters without manual operator intervention. My Engineering Journey with Startups: • I spent my early career navigating two distinct high-pressure environments that shaped my engineering DNA. I started my career with a startup building regulated platforms for Pharma & Life Sciences. I then pivoted to a high-velocity blockchain startup (Stezy) as the Sole DevOps Engineer, where I owned the entire stack with architecting BYOC solutions. This dual experience taught me exactly how to balance enterprise with startup speed.Core Philosophy:I believe the best infrastructure is invisible. I build systems that simplify complexity, eliminate toil, and make \"doing the right thing\" the easiest path for engineers.Tech Stack: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Python, Terraform, AWS, Azure, CI/CD, Splunk, Observability (Dynatrace/Prometheus), Docker.

Building Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) that orchestrate self-service automation frameworks, enabling the organization’s transformation to NoOps.• Architected an Internal Developer Platform (IDP): Designed a central automation hub hosting reusable services (Job Lifecycle, Notifications, Monitoring), reducing toil for 50+ teams and standardizing operational workflows.• Automated Observability Onboarding: Engineered a self-service pipeline for Splunk user & log onboarding, slashing Turnaround Time (TAT) from 5 days to under 1 hour and enforcing standardized logging patterns by default.• Built a Self-Healing Troubleshooting Framework: Developed an event-driven remediation interface for Splunk, enabling L1 support to resolve common issues without engineering intervention which reduced Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) by 40% and deflected hundreds of ServiceNow incidents monthly.• Automated Asset Lifecycle Management: Architected a \"NoOps\" decommissioning framework integrated with ServiceNow that eliminated 100% of manual intervention (saving ~45 mins of engineering toil per server). This ensured audit compliance while reclaiming wasted cloud spend.• Enterprise-Grade GitOps Implementation: Rolled out FluxCD to manage lifecycle operations (patching, upgrades) for Dynatrace across 1200+ Kubernetes clusters, achieving 100% configuration consistency.• Zero-Downtime Fleet Management: Built a Python + Ansible orchestration engine to automate upgrades for 500+ Cribl nodes. Replaced error-prone manual workflows with a resilient, rolling-update strategy that ensures 99.99% availability.• Cloud-Native Modernization: Led the re-architecture of a legacy analytics application into microservices on AWS EKS, improving system scalability by 3x and reducing deployment latency.
