An Automobile Engineer, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management from Bhavan’s Mumbai, with extensive exposure to the Manufacturing sector in multiple roles. I have also been involved in setting up 6 Greenfield Manufacturing facilities in India. Have worked on various aspects of setting up a new project from creation of the business plan and financial viability for management approval, plant location analysis and site selection, complete land purchase transaction along with all necessary regulatory approvals, liaison with government agencies for necessary permissions and clearances, finalisation of engineering consultants, identification of and negotiations with various capital goods suppliers, recruitment of personnel at management and workmen levels and project management. My strengths are Greenfield start up with a strong financial understanding, Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Operational excellence / Lean Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, Sourcing / Procurement, Environment Management and Safety with in environments, in the Automotive / Manufacturing sector Handled a business unit with direct P&L responsibility offering products and services and managing a team of 800+ people. Currently heading the Plant Operations and Projects of a German MNC, in to Furniture hardware space. Experienced in : • Successfully led Global cross functional teams in Matrix environment for Development, Realization & timely launch of products by following APQP. • Experience includes skills in EBIDTA improvement, managing continuous improvement projects in productivity improvement, equipment up time Improvement & cost reduction. • Hands on experience to successfully set-up new Green field & existing brown field mfg. facilities/Projects.
