Develop, coordinate, and implement strategies and policies to improve overall energy efficiency and reduce consumption of energy from non-renewable sources on all Almac sites.• Spearheaded the development of a comprehensive Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory.• Developed and implemented a robust methodology for calculating Scope 3 emissions, leading to an increase in the organization\'s understanding of its total carbon footprint.• Develop the Global Energy Monitoring and Mapping for all utilities on each site.• Manage in Europe the implementation and ongoing reporting on:• ISO ISO14064• Identify and sponsor GHG scope 1 2 and 3 reduction projects across our Global sites which will be resourced by project management teams throughout the business.• Collaborate with Almac’s supply chain to identify strategies to reduce their emissions to reduce Almac’s overall scope 3 GHG emissions• Formulate, monitor and report on energy and GHG KPIs including Science based target initiatives (SBTi’s) for Almac Group.• Work alongside the business units as a technical expert to help identify and implement energy efficiency actions and targets to assist with Almac Groups’ overall goals towards net zero carbon.• Provide energy data and strategy guidance for completion of Ecovadis, Ecodesk, CDP and other Sustainability surveys as required. Assist the business units as required in direct engagement with customers on energy and carbon-reduction-related strategies.• Leading formulation of energy strategies as part of Almac’s CSR team. This will include the development of business plans, demonstrating investment returns and paybacks etc.• Encourage the use of renewable and sustainable energy resources on a cost-effective basis across the Group.• Work in conjunction with the Group purchasing manager to create policies and systems for buying energy and helping with contract negotiations• Carry out site inspections and energy surveys.
