ABOUT RAMANDEEP N.
I am currently in my final year studying a BSc Zoology with Professional Experience degree at the University of Reading and currently completing my dissertation on young people’s perceptions of rewilding. I am also passionate about youth voice, climate justice and social action. I am dedicated to speaking, engaging and taking action on behalf of our planet’s nature as well as being a voice for young people. I am keen to keep pushing for greater collaborations between organisations and generations. As well as providing more opportunities for young people to allow them to get involved and feel empowered so they too can create change. Alongside my studies, I am a trustee for Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust, key organiser and spokesperson for UK Youth for Nature, youth representative for the British Trust for Ornithology, learning facilitator of Climate Fresks, squad leader for My Life My Say and part of the team working on the youth nature storytelling podcast ‘Generation Nature.’I am deeply interested in international affairs and policy development so I am currently part of Chatham’s House Common Futures Conversations Programme. I also contribute to a youth-led weekly newsletter and website platform founded by Molly Taylor and Rorey Scriven designed to provide young people (aged 16-30) with access to genuine opportunities that empower them to reach their goals. My particular focus is on platforming environmental opportunities.
