ABOUT RAMAN SAILOPAL
I have always had a passion for \"communicating\" with computers. This has led me to attain more than 20 years experience with certifications, within support, specialised Linux system administration, web administration, continuous, automated, system deployment, development, database administration, on prem virtualisation (VSphere), multi cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean, Linode), as well as Devops. My passion is for Linux platforms and systems, as well as the potential of open source software in tackling some of the most important social issues we face today. My belief in open source software is supported by the contributions I make to open source projects such as Ansible Galaxy, Nagios Exchange, Docker Hub, Intersystems Open Exchange, Yottadb, Prometheous as well as Grafana. As well as technical consultancy positions within various organisations, I am also director of my own Linux consultancy called the Linux guys and have held a directoral position as co founder and the CTO of a US tech start up, benefits corporation. This role has led me to be invited to exhibit at some of the most prominent \"tech for good\" exhibitions in the UK, sponsored by prominent names such as Natwest.I also actively volunteer as a solutions architect at a charity called WorldVista, supporting the adoption and implementation of one of the largest open source healthcare systems in the world.
