ABOUT RAMAN BAINS
I have worked as a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist since 2002. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including acute care, emergency and private outpatient clinics. I have also been a Clinical Instructor, teaching and leading students to become successful Ultrasound Technologists. Currently, I am the Educational Program Director at Brooke Radiology, which requires me to teach my colleagues about unique and interesting cases. I also am responsible for providing them with their approved educational hours. I am a passionate individual and thrive well under stressful circumstances. I enjoy multi-tasking and taking on multiple roles at a time. I am presently an Event planner/assistant to the General Manager and CEO of a successful company as well as taken on the role of a wedding planner for approximately one year. I enjoy being in a leadership role as I have a high level of organizational and time management skills. I believe a great leader should be organized and be able to motivate others to be passionate and seek to be successful at their jobs. I am an energetic and self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Exceptional patient care, great communication skills and a desire to make a change drive my ambitions to teach and make my students and colleagues better people and technologists. I believe that a great leader must lead by example and I strived to achieve those goals when I am the Acting Supervisor. I enjoy learning and have read many books on how to be a great leader, Dale Carnegie has written some classic books on influencing people and how to be a great leader. I have used some of his tips to practice in my daily life and work, such as learning how to actively listen. I would like to one day be able to be manage a larger number of individuals, play a bigger role in improving our healthcare system and to drive change in patient care.
