WORK HISTORY
Distinguished R & d Staff Scientist @Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Oak Ridge, TN, US
Focusing on developing autonomous solutions for microscopy and synthesis, and integrating theory and computation into experimental workflows to co-navigate both spaces to design, optimize and discover novel materials phenomena. Primarily, my expertise lies in ferroelectric materials and complex oxides, and my machine learning interests include reinforcement learning and physics-guided data fusion approaches. I am also involved with developing data infrastructure tools that power these workflows.
EDUCATION

ABOUT RAMA VASUDEVAN
Researcher at the intersection of machine learning, microscopy and materials science. I am focused on developing both acquisition and analysis methods to improve microscopy, further our understanding of materials, and build the next generation of smart scientific instruments. We leverage the power of machine learning methods in combination with computational power, both at the edge as well as in high performance computing, to develop new microscopy techniques and analysis methods. As a materials scientist, I am particularly interested in oxide interfaces, ferroelectrics, and memristive materials, and am interested in the coupling of statistical physics with machine learning to extract physics from imaging data.
