About Turaga
Ram serves as a consultant in education, skilling, industry-academia connect for corporates. In past he has served as the Chief Development Officer at the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs (ODAA), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Since its inception ODAA developed a unique fundraising model and obtained funding for several large projects at \"zero cost\" to IISc. These efforts resulted in initiating CSR/Philanthropy projects worth about USD 100 Million, complying with the Government regulations and audits. The projects cover the broad areas of Energy, Sustainable Technologies, STEM education, Advanced Skill Development, AI-ML Research and Education, Next Gen. Communication Networks, SARS Cov-2 Viral Genome lab and RT PCR diagnostics. Establishing new centres such as HAL-IISc Skill Development Centre, Kotak-IISc AI/ML Centre, Isaac Centre for Public Health, PFC Funded state of the art Energy Centre building, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Mobility Engineering Centre, Women Empowerment (Scholarships/Hostels) and many more. Ram holds a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharapgur. He has held leadership positions in Academia, Industry and Startups.
