Develops test approach, test plan, estimates and dependencies. Assists with performance and production readiness testing as necessary. Creates and supports automation scripts and scheduling as required. Oversees, defines and writes functional specifications in support of the data quality requirements. Work with Project Development teams to understand the application, the process, and work with the team to improve the overall application. Prepare testing estimates and risk assessments. Provide documentation required by QA CoE leadership. Provide technical direction to QA CoE team members; helping to ensure project testing activities are completed on-time and without delivery of critical defects to the field; ensuring team members are properly prepared and enabled to complete their assigned duties. Provides defect reports and input to final test assessment. Accumulates metrics to track test results and solution quality. Provide project testing metrics and updates to project stakeholders; Lead difficult discussions with stake holders pertaining to project estimates, schedules and critical issues that would prevent go/no go. Actively participates in Development planning meetings and communicates with business and IT on the status of testing activities and other assigned activities in meeting project delivery deadlines. Helps define and implement operational and process improvements for testing activities; enables increase in quality of software delivered for testing through increased visibility of defects and delays.
