As a Simulation Operations Manager, I oversee the comprehensive utilization and maintenance of diverse simulation technologies, encompassing high-fidelity manikins and a spectrum of software systems essential for simulation scenarios. My responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing tasks aligned with curriculum objectives and faculty directives, collaborating closely with instructors in conducting simulated scenarios. I actively contribute to resource planning, monitoring, and evaluation for our simulation and skills labs, ensuring optimal productivity and performance. I foster a collaborative and culturally responsive environment, recommending necessary simulation and office equipment while implementing cost-effective measures.In my role, I program simulator software to accurately simulate physiological responses based on instructor specifications, supporting faculty and students in utilizing virtual reality equipment and ensuring proficiency in simulation and skills lab exercises. I deliver comprehensive demonstrations, orientations, training, and technical support to instructors, emphasizing operational procedures and equipment utilization. I meticulously maintain simulation equipment, manikins, audio/visual systems, and related materials to enhance learning experiences.Furthermore, I develop and demonstrate instructional best practices to elevate student and faculty engagement with simulation equipment and manikins. I actively participate in strategic planning, goal setting, and reporting, assessing needs, and managing inventory for supplies, equipment, and technology software essential for our campus simulation and skills labs. Additionally, I provide technical expertise in managing task trainers and multimedia peripherals, including medication dispensing systems, vital sign monitors, IV pumps, beds/examination tables, headwalls, patient monitors, and other critical healthcare equipment.
