Work with CEO and different levels of the organization including the Accounting, Legal, Shipping and Sales departments applying strong familiarity with related management topics. Accountable to auditors and financial regulators, maintaining accurate and detailed financial records working with internal and external professionals in developing tax strategies. Engineer 3PL logistics, rate negotiations, bench marking for business intelligence and cost savings Administer P&L’s, general and revenue accounting, accounts payable, invoicing, credit, internal financial systems, tax functions, and project support across the organization. Responsible for all accounting policies, procedures, reporting controls, tax reporting, financial compliance and accounting services. Partner with senior leadership to ensure priorities are aligned with corporate objectives and financial controls. Work with support staff to conduct internal audits, pursue regulatory compliance, aid in legal, insurance and safety issues and look after related matters. Set and enforce accounting policy, in addition to working with other departments to develop projects. Responsible for checking over reporting before being submitted to other departments of the company for review. Work with General Manager in evaluating and re-engineering of financial systems and processes, GP, ERP, MTO and others to support robust management in order to facilitate growth and value creation allowing for timely executive reporting and decision making support.
