I am leading a team of 11 people in the delivery of one launched viaduct (7 span double composite), one concrete beam viaduct (21 spans) and three overbridges (two concrete beam bottom up and one steel footbridge). As part of my role I have- undertaken extensive recruitment to grow the team size to that capable of managing the upcoming works- developed a team culture of togetherness and trust- worked with my team to successfully manage and integrate two subcontractors to deliver the launch of Lower Thorpe Viaduct

ABOUT RALPH YEA
I am a highly self-motivated and hard working individual with a passion for Civil Engineering. Specifically, I am actively engaged with developing and motivating younger colleagues plus finding ways to practically deliver on the BIM mandate for the Construction Industry.I studied an MEng Civil Engineering at Loughborough University, for which I obtained a 1st Class Honours. Completed a Diploma in Industrial Studies between my second and third years of my degree, for which I obtained the Robert Moss prize for my diploma portfolio (DIS). The work I completed for my dissertation was further recognised outside of my university, as I was invited to deliver a presentation on this at the International Conference on Concrete Repair, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting 2015 in Leipzig, Germany. This led to two journals based on my works being published in the conference proceedings.Since graduation I have worked for Kier Group Ltd. Predominantly I have worked on new rail infrastructure projects, including Crossrail and High Speed 2. During this time, I have varying levels of experience with many forms of engineering management and delivery, such as on-site Construction, Tendering, Temporary Works Design, Permanent Works Design Management and Handover for Asset Management. I am committed to continually learning and development, shown by the Charter Status I have obtained with the Institution of Civil Engineers plus Engineering Council (CEng MICE) and with the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr MCMI).
