Mr. Valitutti has limited his practice to the defense of catastrophic perinatal injury damage cases for over 20 years. Prior to that, he handled an assortment of medical malpractice defense and product liability cases. He’s pioneered the development of a process which is designed to identify those issues which favor the defense and are ignored by the plaintiff purposefully. He’s developed dossiers of experts who frequently testify against our clients that have become invaluable to defense attorneys. Mr. Valitutti coordinates the defense for perinatal actions and on occasion, he is asked to file his appearance in cases in Pro Hac Vice to share responsibilities with local counsel in the development of valuable defenses as well as the examination of frequent testifiers. He’s had numerous successes with local counsel across the United States defending perinatal cases to verdict. In these types of cases in which plaintiffs have found against our clients, Mr. Valitutti has been consistently effective in keeping the actual future damages within a very reasonable range.Mr. Valitutti has done considerable work in the development of litigation strategies that seek to bring more of the truth about future damages before jurors than the other side dare. Recognizing the defendant has a burden of proof on the issues of damages in catastrophic injury cases, Mr. Valitutti is constantly involved in the development of proof to establish what the actual cost of future care is in a catastrophic injury case. Mr. Valitutti is a frequent lecturer on the defense of perinatal catastrophic injury cases, having spoken before such organizations as the (DRI) Defense Research Institute, The (ACOG) American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, The (ACI) American Conference Institute, The (AABC) American Association of Birth Centers and numerous private lectures given to in-house staff and panel counsel for many of this country’s largest healthcare insurers.
